Sanskriti School was established on 12 August 1998 by The Civil Services Society — an initiative led by the spouses of senior Indian civil servants and defence personnel to create a premium institution supporting quality education, especially for children of officers on frequent transfers.
Originally envisioned to serve children from All India Services and Allied Services families, the school soon opened its doors to students from all walks of society. From its foundation stone laid in 1996, Sanskriti grew steadily into one of Delhi's respected co-educational, CBSE-affiliated schools, with thousands of students from Nursery through Class XII.
The school operates as a public-service oriented, non-profit organisation, with the spouse of the serving Cabinet Secretary of India as its chairperson — a unique governance structure that reinforces its commitment to public good over private gain.
