Parents’ Aadhaar Consent Delays APAAR ID Registration for Students

A growing number of school students are yet to receive their APAAR IDs as schools continue to await parental consent and the required Aadhaar-related details.

The Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) aims to provide students with a unique digital academic identity, allowing important records such as certificates, achievements and educational documents to be securely maintained and accessed digitally.

Schools are encouraging parents to complete the registration process, but delays have affected the creation of APAAR IDs for many students. Some parents have also raised concerns about sharing Aadhaar information, making clear communication from schools particularly important.

Parents who have not completed the process are advised to contact their schools, understand the consent requirements and check their child’s registration status. Timely participation can help ensure students receive their digital academic identity without unnecessary delays.
