Education Ministry Releases School Performance Reports

The Ministry of Education has released the latest Performance Grading Index (PGI) 2.0 for States and Union Territories, the Performance Grading Index for Districts (PGI-D) and the updated UDISE+ 2025-26 report to strengthen evidence-based planning in school education. The reports evaluate learning outcomes, governance, infrastructure, teacher availability, digital education and student participation across the country. The data will help states identify strengths, address gaps and improve the quality of school education through targeted interventions. Officials said the reports will support policy decisions, resource allocation and implementation of reforms under the National Education Policy, ensuring better educational outcomes for students nationwide.
