University of New South Wales has received approval from the University Grants Commission to establish its first international campus in India, marking a significant milestone in the India–Australia higher education partnership.
The Bengaluru campus is scheduled to commence academic sessions in August 2026, making UNSW one of the first leading Australian universities to establish operations in India under the framework of the National Education Policy 2020. The initiative is expected to strengthen global academic collaboration, research, innovation, and student mobility between the two countries.
